Sara Gnagey, Washington State Intern on April 17, 2009 4:56 PM
Hi my name is Sara Gnagey, and I have recently accepted the intern position at Progressive Majority Washington. I am a 20 year old student currently attending Edmonds Community College, but I will be transferring to Pacific Lutheran University in the fall of 2009 to major in global studies/international relations and political science, with a minor in public affairs. I am a self described progressive democrat, who believes that all citizens deserve equal access to all rights, opportunities, and freedoms, but my personal reform interests are healthcare, education, and marriage equality. I also advocate for reproductive freedom, massive immigration reform, stricter environmental regulations, implementing light rail in Washington State, closure of the “gun show loophole,” and the banning of semi-automatic rifles. I am pleased to have found an organization that advocates similar ideals and reforms to my own, and I feel that I have a wonderful opportunity here at Progressive Majority to learn about political campaigns and policy from a real world perspective.
