Washington 2008 Results

The message couldn't be clearer: voters wanted progressive change. They elected an outstanding progressive as the next president. They put Democrats solidly in control of the Congress. They elected 86 great Progressive Majority candidates to state and local office.

In Washington's electoral battlegrounds, Progressive Majority is fighting back against conservative power grabs, and we're taking back our state. Not only did we elect Helen Price Johnson in Island County, but we elected five progressives to build on our majorities in the state House and Senate. In addition, we elected four new leaders to local offices across the state and a progressive to the statewide position of Commissioner of Public Lands. With each victory, we build the progressive base in Washington, and we keep conservatives out of office.
